Scionti, Director of the Scionti Prostate Center and Medical Director of Vituro Health has successfully completed the first TULSA -Pro treatment in North America since the FDA granted 510K clearance to the TULSA-Pro device in August 2019. TULSA- Pro is Transurethral Ultrasound Ablation or inside -out prostate ablation. This revolutionary technology offers several important advances in prostate ultrasound ablation such as: real time MR imaging, MR thermometry for continuous temperature and dose mapping in the prostate as treatment is delivered, cooling of the urethral for urethral preservation, rectal cooling and the ability to create a personalized treatment plan for every patient. TULSA- Pro is now available in Sarasota through the Scionti Prostate Center and Vituro Health.
